“I had to restrain myself from giving this wine extra points for being named after a Sonic Youth album. Respect. Pure and sinewy Coal RiverValley pinot with abundant souk-like spice, mountain herbs, wildflower top notes and gamey undertones. Grainy tannin tendrils plunge through the pure fruit, razor blade-like tension and a real sense of energy and verve on the finish. Funky and complex drinking. Well worth seeking out.”
